This is the first book that I have read in this series. I have now bought the first 2 because I enjoyed it so much. It's refreshing to read an original paranormal romance. This has romance as well as plenty of action and I sat down and read the whole thing from start to finish because I couldn't put it down!
I love this one about Bastian! From the first I really liked his character. The others were good but for some reason he always seemed to especially stand out! The story moves quickly and is enlightening with the other characters. Still found Lucian a great character if a bit on the "bad" side.
It's always a bit hit and miss buying self-published Indie books, but this is one I would reccommend. Reading the previous books in the series first would probably have helped because while I followed everything reasonably well, there isn't any detailed back story. This is probably a good thing though. I was surprised at the price as well - 99c! I have paid more for books not nearly as good as this one, and look forward to reading the others in the series.
THIS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE READ LATELY, ESPECIALLY IN THE PARANORMAL REALM! I LOVE THE FACT THE HEROINE IS NOT A WHINING WEEKLING WHO NEEDS HER ALPHA TOUGH-GUY TO SAVE HER! I ALSO LOVE THE FACT THE HERO IS NOT THE "A**" THAT A LOT OF WRITERS ARE MAKING THEIR ALPHAS! SORRY JUST BEING HONEST! THE STORYLINE WAS A PLEASANT CHANGE FROM THE HE MAN WOLF TRYING TO KEEP HIS BIT** IN LINE AND SUBMISSIVE TO HIM. ON THE OTHER HAND IT DOESN'T GO OVERBOARD AND MAKE THE ALPHA MALE A COMPLETE SAP AND SEEM LIKE HE IS NEUTERED BY HIS MATE! GOOD JOB!!! WELL WORTH THE READ AND A BONUS AT .99CENTS AT THE MOMENT!

I SAW THERE ARE 2 OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES THAT LED UP TO THIS ONE AND WISH I HAD READ THOSE BEFORE THIS ONE BUT AS A STAND ALONE THIS ONE DID A PRETTY GOOD JON THERE TOO! BRAVO TO THE STORY TELLER! YOU GAINED MY ATTENTION AND KEPT IT THROUGHOUT THE BOOK RIGHT TO THE VERY END! NOW I WAIT SKYE'S STORY!
